Business Region Örebro is a partnership dedicated to fostering business development across all 12 municipalities in the region. Our goal is to drive economic growth by helping more companies establish and expand their operations here. Welcome to a thriving and dynamic region.

Our mission

We promote sustainable economic development by supporting businesses in their growth and establishment efforts. Business Region Örebro serves as the county’s collaborative platform for business development, with Region Örebro County as the primary governing body.

Organization

Since January 1, 2015, Business Region Örebro has been a permanent organization. Region Örebro County has tasked Örebro Municipality with managing the organizational structure of Business Region Örebro.

The Steering Group consists of municipal council chairpersons or equivalent representatives from all 12 participating municipalities. They meet approximately four times a year, under the leadership of Charlotta Englund, a regional councilor and chairperson of the Regional Growth Committee at Region Örebro County.

The Management Team is the operational core, comprising business development leaders from the 12 municipalities, the Business Development Area Manager from Region Örebro County, and BRO’s coordinators. This team meets monthly to make key operational decisions.

Funding

Half of our funding comes from Region Örebro County, while the other half is contributed by participating municipalities at a rate of SEK 10 per resident. Örebro Municipality and Region Örebro County also provide in-kind support through allocated resources and time.
