Business Region Örebro is a collaboration platform for economic affairs for all 12 municipalities in the county. We are working together to create growth by getting more companies to grow and establish in the region. Welcome to a flourishing location.
Organisation
Business Region Örebro is a permanent activity since 1 January 2015. Region Örebro County has commissioned the municipality of Örebro to answer for the organisational form for Business Region Örebro.
The steering group consists of the Chair of the Municipal Executive Board or the like from the 12 participating municipalities and meet about four times a year. The chair of the steering group is Charlotta Englund, Member of the Regional Executive Board and Chair of the Board of Regional Growth at Region Örebro County. The executive body works as a hub of the activity and consists of Head of Corporate Relations or the like from the 12 participating municipalities, Area Manager for Business Development at Region Örebro County and the coordinators of Business Region Örebro. The executive body meets once a month and makes current decisions connected to the activity.
Funding
Region Örebro County provides half of the funding, and the other half is provided by the collaborating municipalities with SEK 10 per inhabitant. The municipality of Örebro and Region Örebro County also step in with in-kind resources in the form of time.
